All these years later, and and a glimpse of the Reynard anhedral front wing still brings me back to the glory days of CART.

Gotta say, even with those pictures, the new Cruze hatchback looks stunning in-person. Can’t wait to see one for myself.

Yes. Give it AWD and a 300+ hp variant of the LTG 2.0 Turbo, currently found in the Malibu, Camaro, ATS, CTS, Regal, CT6, and Insignia, and turn it into an STi fighter, maybe even squeeze a bit more out and take on the Focus RS.

Surprised to see it in all its tabacco sponsored glory. Is it JV’s Indy winner?

Nope. Among other differences, it has the wrong cockpit entrance and rollhoop. (Also, see the nosecone.) I’m actually having a bit of trouble identifying it. (The rollhoop looks all wrong compared to ALL the Reynard CART chassis.)
The 500 winner is here:

Cockpit kind of looks like a Lola. A look at Wiki shows they were deep with Reynard during that era, but who knows with a show car.

I was ready to argue, then I thought about it again. It’s a fucking Lola T92/00. I am livid. Nose fastening, silly cuts on the sidepod, the teardrop on the pushrod. Definitely Lola.

Still can’t believe how quickly they moved that SRT-Canada STI from Quebec to Ontario. Shame they had to retire from rally pierce-neige though.

Kind of wierd in that this is close but I agree it looks like a lola, but numbered as Jacques Villeneuve Players. 1995 Reynard winner.
Menard had #27 in the Lola years.

You have to take show cars with a grain of salt. At least it was a chassis that ran in the series.

Meh. Might have been a lights car. I’m just mad that I didn’t catch the clues earlier.
